Psychosocial Hazards

Amtech Institute takes steps to prevent and address psychosocial hazards in our community. We actively work to eliminate:

  • Bullying and harassment
  • Vicarious trauma and emotional harm
  • Isolation, stress, and overload

We also promote cultural safety and inclusion through:

  • Respecting and valuing diverse identities
  • Offering culturally responsive counselling and referral services
  • Proactively managing racism, hate speech, discrimination and cultural insensitivity through policies and disciplinary pathways

You can report cultural safety concerns to HR or the Student Support Team, or anonymously via our online feedback form. You may also complain to the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) — Phone: 1300 656 419.

E-Safety

Anyone can report incidents of inappropriate use of internet resources by staff or students — including cyberbullying or the distribution of pornography.

Reports can be made anonymously using the general feedback form on our website, or by accessing procedures set out in the Complaints and Appeals Policy (for student behaviour) or Staff Grievance and Misconduct Policy (for staff behaviours).
