The Graduate Certificate in Information Technology (GCIT) is a six-month postgraduate qualification offering a structured entry point into IT higher education. Delivered face-to-face from Amtech Institute’s Spring Hill campus in Brisbane, the GCIT is designed for professionals seeking to formalise their IT skills, or those transitioning into technology roles from adjacent fields.

The program comprises four core units covering ICT foundations, programming fundamentals, networking and systems, and data management — providing a comprehensive grounding in modern information technology.

The GCIT is the first step in Amtech’s stackable qualification pathway: all four units are fully credited towards the Graduate Diploma in IT (GDIT) and subsequently the Master of IT (MIT), allowing students to progress seamlessly to Australia’s highest IT postgraduate qualification.
