The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (GDIT) is a one-year postgraduate qualification that develops specialist IT competencies across software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and project management. Delivered face-to-face from Amtech Institute’s Spring Hill campus in Brisbane, the GDIT combines foundational IT knowledge with advanced technical specialisations.
The program comprises eight units spanning two progressive stages. The first four units establish core IT foundations. The second four introduce more sophisticated topics — software engineering and design, cybersecurity principles, cloud computing and infrastructure, and IT project management — preparing graduates for specialist professional roles.
The GDIT also serves as a direct pathway into the Master of Information Technology (MIT), with all 8 units fully credited towards the MIT program.
